Grilled stone fruit dessert as prepared by Food Over 50
Instructions
  1. Melt butter for basting.
  2. Wash & dry the fresh, ripe fruit. Halve and remove the stones. Leave the skins on. They are nutritious and also maintain the shape and integrity of the fruit as it grills, particularly the plum.
  3. Lightly brush the cut sides of the peach, nectarine and plum with butter and place cut-side down on a clean, oiled grill. Be sure to scrub the grill very well. Tiny bits of charcoaled meat do not make an excellent dessert ingredient! Grill both sides of the fruit until marks appear and fruit flesh softens.
  4. Combine and blend the yoghurt and honey. Swipe a heaping spoonful of the lightly sweetened yoghurt across each serving plate. Arrange a half peach, nectarine and plum atop the yoghurt as a single serving.
Recipe Notes

The peach halves will require the most grilling time, depending on their ripeness. The plum the least. Judge doneness for each by touch during the grilling process.
