Ingredients
- 1 cup Steel Cut Oats
- 3 cup water
- 4 ea medjool dates
- .25 cup Walnuts (coarse chopped)

Instructions
- Bring water to a rolling boil. Add steel cut oats and lower heat. Stir regularly and cook slowly for approx. twice the recommended time on the package, 35 to 40 minutes for a silkier, softer consistency. Add extra hot water if/as needed.
- Coarse chop the walnuts.
- Pit and coarse chop the dates.
- Add nuts and dates with approx. 5 minutes of cooking time remaining.
Recipe Notes
Steel cut oats may also be pre-soaked overnight to shorten the cooking time.
