​Slow cooked, steel cut oats made ‘instantly’ delicious with earthy-sweet accents of walnut and dates. These ingredients are rife with healthy anti- oxidants, extra fiber, important vitamins and even Omega 3’s! And not a speck of added salt or refined sugar!

Instructions
  1. Bring water to a rolling boil. Add steel cut oats and lower heat. Stir regularly and cook slowly for approx. twice the recommended time on the package, 35 to 40 minutes for a silkier, softer consistency. Add extra hot water if/as needed.
  2. Coarse chop the walnuts.
  3. Pit and coarse chop the dates.
  4. Add nuts and dates with approx. 5 minutes of cooking time remaining.
Recipe Notes

Steel cut oats may also be pre-soaked overnight to shorten the cooking time.
