Slow cooked, steel cut oats made ‘instantly’ delicious with fresh sweet pear and blueberries. These ingredients are rife with healthy anti-oxidants, extra ﬁber, important vitamins and even Omega 3’s! And not a speck of added salt or reﬁned sugar!

- Bring water to a rolling boil. Add rolled oats and lower heat. Stir regularly and cook slowly for approx. twice the recommended time on the package,10 or 15 minutes for a smoother, softer consistency. Add extra hot water if/as needed.
- Halve and core a small, ripe pair, leaving skin on. Coarsely grate one half. Chop other half into larger pieces.
- Add pear approx. half way through the cooking process.
- Add blueberries just before serving, giving them time to warm but not burst.
