Spicy curried lentils recipe as prepared by Food Over 50
Instructions
  1. In a large, lidded saucepan, sauté diced onion, garlic, ginger, carrot and chilies in oil.
  2. Add the dry spices, stir and sauté another minute to ‘bloom’ the spice flavors.
  3. Inspect, rinse and drain lentils. Add to pot along with water. Stir, lower heat and partially cover. Cook approx. 50 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. When lentils are completely tender, stir in freshly chopped cilantro and serve.
